Background Information
Jackie L. Williamson is a founding member and a senior partner at Reese
& Williamson, L.L.P. She was born in Center, Texas on May 7,
1955. Three years later she moved to Gonzales, Texas with her
parents who are Gonzales natives. She graduated from Southwest
Texas State University, now Texas State University, with Honors in
1984. She received her law degree from St. Mary’s University
School of Law in 1988. While in law school, she clerked as an
intern with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Juvenile Felony
Division.
She is a member of the Family Law Section of the State
Bar of Texas and the Secretary/Treasurer for the Gonzales County Bar
Association. She is also a member of the Texas City Attorneys
Association and Municipal Courts Association. Ms. Williamson has
served as the Gonzales City Attorney since 1990.
