Success without Trials
In criminal law, Mr. Reese has been able to successfully defend clients
prior to indictment. He has assisted clients in numerous cases
prior to indictment where the clients have been “no billed” by the
grand juries meaning they were not forced to defend themselves in court
before the judge or a jury.
He has done this in difficult cases like Intoxication Manslaughter and Indecency with a Child as well as simpler cases like Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
He has also obtained favorable rulings from judges. He has reduced felony DWIs to misdemeanor DWIs on numerous occasions. He has also successfully obtained dismissals on drug cases based on entrapment and illegal searches.
Because of Mr. Reese’s success before the judges and juries around south central Texas, he has been able to get incredible deals from the area prosecutors. He has reduced numerous DWIs to Class C misdemeanors. He has also obtained dismissals and reductions to lesser included offenses on hundreds of cases. Mr. Reese has even been featured on the front page of the San Antonio Express News for successfully defending a Conspiracy to Commit Capital Murder case which was reduced to a lesser included offense with credit for time served. See “Was Prison death plot just a con? Odd story of conspiracy to kill Judge Luitjen gets even odder,” San Antonio Express News, December 29, 2002.
In civil cases, Mr. Reese has convinced the other side to concede to
his client’s demands routinely. He has obtained the maximum
insurance coverage on many personal injury cases in part because of his
readiness to go to trial.
