Noel Henry Reese is the founding member and a senior partner at The Reese Law Firm, L.L.P., formerly Reese & Escobar, L.L.P. He was born in Gonzales, Texas on October 22, 1968. After growing up in Gonzales, he attended Texas Military Institute in San Antonio, Texas where he graduated with honors. He then attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude in 1991. Upon graduation, he lived in Guanajuato, Mexico where he gained fluency in Spanish.
In 1992, he worked a year as a Probation Officer in Gonzales and Lavaca Counties before entering law school. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1994. While in school, he was an editor for the State Bar of Texas Environmental Law journal having one of his papers published in the journal. He was licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in 1995 and he was licensed to practice in the United States District Court, Western District of Texas in 1999.
Mr. Reese is s seasoned trial lawyer. Over the course of his career, he has handled numerous felony and misdemeanor trials. He has obtained not guilty verdicts from juries for felony and misdemeanor DWIs, Attempted Capital Murder, Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, Indecency with a Child, Burglary of a Habitation, as well as Retaliation. He has also successfully handled numerous bench and jury trials involving civil litigation.
Mr. Reese has also been a successful advocate when negotiating on behalf of his criminal, civil, and family law clients. He has obtained hundreds of dismissals and prosecutor declinations for DWIs, drug possession cases, Aggravated Assaults, and the like. He has successfully settled civil lawsuits as well as family law cases.
In 2022, Mr. Reese obtained a Master of Science from Texas Tech University in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Energy. He is capable in assisting clients in the negotiation of oil and gas, solar, and wind leases.
One of Mr. Reese’s favorite areas of practice is real estate law. Although he does not actively sell real estate currently, he has been a real estate broker for over thirty years. He has owned and managed many real estate ventures throughout the years. He has successfully assisted clients in resolving title issues when multiple generations have died intestate. He has also prosecuted and defended numerous adverse possession cases.
Reese and his firm also handle simple as well as complex estate planning services. He regularly assists clients with probate and intestate succession matters.
Mr. Reese is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Gonzales County Bar Association, the Texas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
